It should not take that long for a line to move especially if you get there 2 hours beforehand. The flight You had to pay for a snacks, water and sodas. The flight was 2 hours we can’t get a water for free?"

I did not get sore or ache even on a transatlantic flight, although the under-seat storage was too tight to easily fit even a small backpack. I think the limited storage was only for an aisle seat, because there was a bar ensuring items did not slide into the aisle and endanger people walking through the cabin."

Cons: "The plane was outdated. Plastic covers were missing from parts of the seat, which left exposed metal that I had to rest my leg against. My entertainment center also did not work. The touch screen did not function at all, and the map and games would not load. What did eventually work was still incredibly slow."

And don't get me started on the ridiculous 2-4-2 seating in business class. How does BA think it can get away with it, when competitors offer 1-2-1?"

Cons: "The overhead luggage bins near my seat on my LAX-LHR flight were too small to accomodate my European standard carry-on, which meant that another passenger and I had to store our luggage three sections away before there was an empty bin big enough. I understand the need for different sized bins, especially since our seats were up against the galley, but I felt a little unsupported by the crew. They basically just told us, "walk down far enough and you'll find something"--this was true but not exactly helpful. It's a small thing, but I think maybe if you warned passengers sitting in seats with smaller bins ahead of time, that would help make things smoother, since another stressor was that we didn't find places for our luggage until it was almost time for takeoff."

I was constantly bumping elbows with the passenger next to me. The cabin temperature was extremely warm. I was sweating nearly the entire flight and I felt very uncomfortable."

Cons: "The cabin bag policy is ridiculous - we had small backpacks and had to put them in the hold. The plane was oversold so we were late while we waited for someone to get off. My friend has an NZ passport (with a 5 year ancestory UK visa) and had to print out her boarding pass at the hotel and then get it stamped - we don’t have to do this for any other low cost flights! Not sure Ryanair is really worth the “cheap” flights with all the add ons and hassle."

When she got the airport they insisted that she had to put her hand carry in the hold despite it having her passport in it!! The Captain very kindly helped her retrieve it from the hold at the end of the flight but why did she ever have to put it in there when she was priority and we paid for it?"

Finally, both my hand bags carry on get checked in and now I am stuck at the airport waiting for two little bags that could’ve easily got on top of my compartment where I was."

Cons: "Because we don't want to pay extra for seating we don't check in until 4 days before the flight. Usually this is not a problem but on this flight they split us up, one at the front & one at the rear, then they ask if we want to pay extra to sit together. This is a very petty ploy to get extra money. It doesn't work !! The passengers just swop when on the plane"

Pros: "Crew when asked was very helpful and polite. They were definitely working the entire flight to assist people."

Cons: "Crew took about the entire flight to handle the food and drinks, coming from both ends. This caused a block to the bathrooms and people waiting long periods and finally just stuffing in all over the place to get passed the carts. Expensive flight for us since we had to buy the same day. While most of the security attendants were great, I did have to wait a very long time to get a pat down I requested rather than go through the scanner (required to be in a separate room) that was 95% the same as the one they were giving everyone after they came through the scanner, with the only difference being a hand and belt line swipe and paperwork. I have had this same procedure done in three airports prior on this trip and all were more aggressive/thorough and did not require a separate room and extreme wait. Though again, all the female staff were great."

Pros: "Boarding was ridiculous from both ends of plane with people from back end squeezing past people from front end to find their seats. They list my checked backpack on a flight from Amsterdam to Spain. It took 5 days to get it back. Crazy!"

The flight attendants were pretty rude--never excusing themselves or apologizing for pushing past people. The toilet in the front was disgusting. NO HaNDSOAP. Told attendant--no soap, she said. Very nasty situation. i think it will be my only Ryanair trip."

Pros: "There are many horror stories on the web about flying RyanAir, so I expected the worst. My wife and I flew RT from Dublin to Koln. Although we carry on on all other airlines (in the US), we paid extra to check our carry on bags because of the Ryanair website, which sounded VERY strict about bag size and threatened to charge 50E or something per bag if ours were too big. Turns out all the other passengers had the same huge carry-ons as always. I probably wares the bag fee. Ryan requires you to print boarding passes before you get to the airport or they will charge 50E per person to print(!). The boarding process is a cattle call, but most people are polite with little shoving. The seats on the plane are hard and don't recline. All in all, we saved money and the flight was OK. Just know what to expect."
